Charity motorcycle run on Sunday 5 May 2019.
An ideal opportunity for a fun day riding, meet new friends and enjoy some great company.
No we're not just doing a run for the fun of it!!
We'll meet on Sunday morning at Gasoline Alley Cafe for 9.30am for a Bacon Roll and a tea or coffee, then we aim to be on the road for 10am.
The run will include a variety of roads leaving Saltire towards the Leadburn inn, down the Devil's Beeftub to Moffat and the St Mary's Loch Café for a spot of lunch, then over to Selkirk and back up the A7 to Saltire.
£10.00 per person for the above including donation to Charity (payable on the day).
We're delighted to announce that the charity for 2019 is My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, founded by former Scotland Rugby Cap - Doddie Weir
In June 2017 Doddie revealed he was suffering from Motor Neurone Disease.
From the outset, Doddie has been driven to help fellow sufferers and seek ways to further research into this, as yet, incurable disease.
In November 2017 Doddie and his Trustees launched the registered charity My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
Its aims are simple:
- To raise funds to aid research into the causes of Motor Neurone Disease and investigate potential cures.
- To make grants to individuals suffering from MND, to enable them to live as fulfilled a life as possible.
Please ensure that bikes are fueled before the run, so we all get out together.
Please note this is not a race, its a day to connect with like minded people and enjoy the experience and excitement of being on 2 (or 3) wheels, whilst raising funds for a great cause!
Riders are responsible for their own ride. Be courteous, observe the laws of the road and have fun!
This run is not suitable for 125cc / Learners.
