Charity motorcycle run on Sunday 4 August 2019
An ideal opportunity for a fun day riding, meet new friends and enjoy some great company.
No we're not just doing a run for the fun of it!!
This time, the run is to raise funds for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, founded by former Scotland Rugby Cap – Doddie Weir To raise funds to aid research into the causes of Motor Neurone Disease and investigate potential cures, and to make grants to individuals suffering from MND, to enable them to live as fulfilled a life as possible.
We'll meet on Sunday morning at Gasoline Alley Cafe for 9.30am for a Bacon Roll and a tea or coffee, then we aim to be on the road for 10am.
The route will include a variety of roads leaving Saltire and heading down the A7 to Galashiels, Innerleithen to Peebles.
We'll stop off at Nashy's Coffee House in Peebles, where there's plenty parking. Nashy's are very kindly putting on a hot 2 course lunch with tea/coffee for us, before we continue over the A72/A1721 to Carnwath and back to Saltire.
£10.00 per person for our breakfast, lunch and a donation to Charity (payable on the day).
If you can't make it on the day, you can make a donation to https://www.myname5doddie.co.uk/
Please ensure that bikes are fueled before the run, so we all get out together.
Please note this is not a race, its a day to connect with like minded people and enjoy the experience and excitement of being on 2 (or 3) wheels, whilst raising funds for a great cause!
Riders are responsible for their own ride. Be courteous, observe the laws of the road and have fun!
