We’ll meet at Gasoline Alley Cafe for 9.30am for a Bacon Roll and a tea or coffee, then we aim to be on the road for 10am.
The route will include a variety of roads leaving Saltire and heading down the A7 to Galashiels, Innerleithen to Peebles.
We’ll stop off at Nashy’s Coffee House in Peebles, where there’s plenty parking. Nashy’s are very kindly putting on a hot 2 course lunch with tea/coffee for us, before we continue over the A72/A1721 to Carnwath and back to Saltire.
£10.00 per person includes a Breakfast roll with Tea / Coffee at Gasoline Alley café, a lunch stop en route and donation to charity.
We’re delighted to announce that the charity for 2019 is My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, founded by former Scotland Rugby Cap – Doddie Weir
In June 2017 Doddie revealed he was suffering from Motor Neurone Disease.
From the outset, Doddie has been driven to help fellow sufferers and seek ways to further research into this, as yet, incurable disease.
In November 2017 Doddie and his Trustees launched the registered charity My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
Its aims are simple:
- To raise funds to aid research into the causes of Motor Neurone Disease and investigate potential cures.
- To make grants to individuals suffering from MND, to enable them to live as fulfilled a life as possible.
