Join Saltire Motorcycles in Aviemore at Macdui’s for the 2022 Thunder in the Glens. From 26 – 28th of August.

There will be lots of things to see and do including live entertainment, drinks, barbecues, and of course, the main rally ride out.

We will be bringing our demo bikes to test ride and a range of casual motorcycle apparel.

Don’t forget, our store opening hours will remain unchanged during the event, if you’re not heading up North.

Remember International Female Ride Day is this Saturday (7th May) and we’d love you to join us for a free breakfast roll & cuppa before we take a nice ride down to North Berwick. And to celebrate, we have a sale on all female riding gear and apparel from now until closing time on Saturday giving you 20% off your purchase(s). Click on the link below to see more details on the Facebook event.

If you’ve been following the story of our collaboration with William Wood Watches, you’ll be glad to know that as of Sunday 1st May, there are no more tickets available for the prize draw to win the one-off Indian Scout, Always Ready!

On Wednesday 4th May 2022, we will be drawing the winner at Saltire Motorcycles. For those of you who won’t be able to attend, we’re streaming the event live on Instagram. Click here to visit our Insta page.

The Always Ready project bike incorporates repurposed firefighting materials, in line with the design ethos of the William Wood Watches timepieces. All profits from the prize draw will be donated to The Fire Fighter’s Charity.

We’re delighted to announce that our very own Levi Tusoon has been recognised as the Indian Motorcycle Ambassador of the Year. He recently travelled down to the Indian Motorcycle Dealer Conference to collect his award, and to catch up with representatives from all parts of the Indian Motorcycle dealer network.

Levi’s tireless commitment to Saltire Motorcycles and Indian Motorcycle is inspiring, and we invite you to join us in congratulating Levi on this momentous achievement.

Awesome job, Levi – Thank you for everything that you bring.

Thanks for the generosity of all those who donated towards the Prostate Cancer UK charity at the Scottish Bike Show through coffee provided by Ride & Grind. For superb coffee at your event, get in touch with these guys, they are great folks with a super cool setup and most importantly make the best coffee I’ve had in a very long time.

What an utterly brilliant day that was!

We’d like to thank all who came along on Saturday and make Saltire Motorcycles’ 16th birthday celebration such a special day. The sun shone, cake was eaten, champagne was drank and prizes were won!

Many thanks for the team from Ride & Grind for attending with their now-legendary sidecar coffee bar. We took the Birthday Bash as an opportunity to count up the donations that we collected with them at the Scottish Motorcycle Show, and we’re proud to announce that the generosity of our customers have added up to a significant donation to Prostate Cancer UK.

Just for fun, we put together a short video of the day, see if you can you spot yourself in it!

Well, that was awesome! Two days of non-stop bike show action!

Click on the video above to see a wee summary of the show from our perspective.

The Scottish Motorcycle Show 2022 was a great way for the Saltire crew to get back into the swing of running events and exhibitions again! After two years away from it, getting the chance to get out and meet folk, old friends and new, was fantastic.

Our next big event is our Annual Birthday Bash on Saturday 26th March 2022, at Saltire Motorcycles. Hope to see you all there!

(Many thanks for the support we got from Indian Motorcycle, Mutt Motorcycles, Sunra, Zero Motorcycles, Mash Motorcycles, Biker BnB, Ride+Grind, Pete K and his crew, Indian Kate, Motogirl, Bare Bone Distribution, Oxford Products and (of course) our own hard-working staff.)

Always Ready Indian Motorcycle Scout

Always Ready” is a 2021 Indian Motorcycle Scout, built to reflect the craftsmanship shown in the William Wood Watches timepieces, and like the watches, the bike is adorned with multiple elements of upcycled firefighting materials. It also incorporates the functioning workings of one of William Wood’s limited edition watches into the fabric of the bike.

You can find a more in-depth article covering the process of how this bike came together by clicking here

William Wood Watches was founded by Jonny Garrett, the grandson of the late William Wood, a decorated firefighter who served in the British Fire Service for over 25 years. William Wood makes firefighting-inspired luxury watches from upcycled firefighting material. The company donates to firefighting charities through sale of every watch and regularly supports and sponsors firefighting charities internationally.

Build Highlights –

• Located at the centre of the V-twin engine is the functional inner workings of a limited-edition William Wood watch case back

• Finished in a deep gloss metallic fire engine red, with hand finished 24 carat gold leaf and black pin striping, inspired by early era fire engines

• Hand grips made from upcycled British fire hose, with a 1920’s William Wood coin inset in the wooden bar-ends

• Seat is hand-stitched leather saddlery, incorporating recycled fire hose, and a diamond for each of the children saved by William Wood and his colleagues

• Wooden cross-bar, crafted from the wood of a fire appliance ladder, providing a perfect mount for the owner’s complimentary William Wood bronze ruby watch
