Our Rider Training Department can offer you the training you need, whether you are starting at the very beginning with a taster session, or coming back to biking after a wee break and need some guidance!

At Saltire, we tailor motorcycle training to suit individual needs, and look to develop and expand each student’s skills to make them safer riders. Our instructors are very friendly and approachable and will help you with anything you may be struggling with.

What do you need?

All you need to start is your full or provisional photo-card licence and your National Insurance number (so that we can check your licence online); plus the enthusiasm to learn a fun new skill!
If you have an old paper style licence then you will also require to bring along some photographic passport, student card etc.

Motorcycles Used For Training

We are delighted to have a new fleet of Suzuki Van Van's (RV125) for CBT's;  and the new 2016 model Suzuki SV650 for the A or A2
motorcycle licences.


Saltire Rider Training Student Discounts

All new students of the Saltire Rider Training School are given a discount voucher which entitles them to 15% off in the Clothing department (in store), £100 off the purchase price of a new / used motorcycle and a discounted rate for 125cc Motorcycle hire - on completion of the CBT.

buy backWe also offer a Buy Back Scheme, when you buy any used learner bike (12-33bhp) sold by Saltire Motorcycles you can return it to us, as a trade in against your next bike and we’ll give you the price you paid for it, less conditioning costs.
